Sunday 04/10/11

Well well look who's laptop now works again and is back in business! This guy, right here that's who!

So today at church I went around and threw out the question, "What's the theme of your clothing today, your outfit's tag line so to speak?"

You see I deliberately dressed today with an animal theme. Flamingo shoes, tiger stripe tights, you get the picture.

Jesse said he was going for "Casually ironic". That would be an apt description of his brown sweater.

Grace threw out "Cowgirl" as her theme, Anna said "Portland does beach" was her look.

Ammy said the "Weather" was her inspiration for her outfit that layered shades of gray and black.

EJ informed me that my brother Samuel was sporting a look best described as "Cranberries dipped in chocolate". What can one even say about that?

I feel that a key element in any outfit for achieving a desired theme is scent. It's very easy to forget but perfume can make a huge impact (hopefully a good one). Another dimension, another layer is added to the ensemble that may not even register with the people around you at first. Plus, who doesn't want to smell absolutely edible?

My favorites are below.

DKNY Be Delicious, notes of apple, cucumber, and magnolia.

Marc Jacobs Daisy, notes of strawberry, violet leaves, and vanilla.

Chanel No5, notes of lemon, rose, jasmine, lilies.

Viktor&Rolf Flowerbomb, notes of jasmine, rose freesia, and orchids

Marc Jacobs Lola, notes of pink peppercorn, pear, ruby red grapefruit.

Burberry Brit, notes of Italian lime, icy pear, green almond, white peony.

What perfumes do you like?

XOXO ABBS

  1. I am completely obsessed with citrus inspired scents. Grapefruits, limes, oranges, lemons...
